STAFF ACCOUNTANT/AUDITOR

Phillips, Salmi & Associates, LLC, is seeking a staff accountant/auditor. In this role you will work closely with other firm members and simultaneously serve multiple clients. Salary range is based on experience.

Responsibilities: You will work on assignments including audit engagements, tax return preparation, reviews, and compilations for a variety of clients, including small and medium-sized private businesses, employee benefit plans, nonprofits, governmental entities, and individuals. Limited travel will be required.

Requirements: The candidate must have at least two years of public accounting experience, with a focus on audit engagements. In addition, the candidate must have knowledge of public accounting and audit practices, procedures and reporting standards, U.S. GAAP, and U.S. GAAS. Some knowledge of IFRS procedures and standards is also desirable. Other requirements include:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in accounting or related field.
  • CPA Certification (or qualified to sit for CPA exam).
  • Excellent interpersonal and client service skills.
  • Ability to manage and grow strong client relationships, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong research, organizational and analytical skills. Proven technical skills with MS Office applications Excel and Word.
  • Consistent punctuality and attendance are required. Must have reliable transportation. Must be able to work extended hours, as necessary, to meet operational needs and regulatory agency deadlines.
